You won't be able to read it all. You might not even be able to lift it all. But hard to beat for a reference and resource.

If you are a professional or amateur historian of WW II on the Eastern Front, this is a "must have available" volume. At around $250 a copy you won't find this tome on everybody's coffee table. But you should be able to find it via the US Library system, as I did, totally by luck. I was researching the action of just one man, a Ritterkreuztrager who became the "Patron" of a base I was assigned to during the Cold War in Germany. I found myself on a journey of epic and ugly proportions that hasn't stopped yet. The detail is phenomenal and even handed in it's assignment of blame. In Vol IV, the Soviets are as taken to task for the Holocaust of Victims as are the Germans. You have to wonder about and at the patience of the translators and the researchersand the authors who have compiled this incredible presentation.
