This book has to be the best reference there is currently to date regarding the events of the summer of 1940.

It is the source of many authors writing about the Battle of Britain as quoted in their bibliography.

Sadly it is out of print and difficult to source, I am sure that should it be reprinted it would sell well.

Rates this book:

Excellent coloured aircraft sketches, photos, narrative. In 1969 it took day-by-day detail and accuracy beyond Wood and Dempster's Narrow Margin, the official RAF histories, etc. And I believe author updated it in late 70s, maybe 80s?

Problem is that the details of shot down German aircraft (places, units) are not always accurate. Ramsey inproved on this in 90s.
