Rates this book: 5 star

I read this book way back in 1980. There is no other book known to myself that covers the whole of the WW2 paratrooper Saga from start to finish! This book is extremely well researched and written. It as one might imagine, very long at over 700 pages!Itcovers the invention of the parachute, the test platoon, the first Army and Marine Paratroop units to the end of 1945. A most excellent book by a man who himself an Airborne Ranger, and wounded combat vet.
