H.T.Lenton's books are priceless little artifacts, and this one is no exception. If for no other reason than his superb prose, which is at its best in the introduction describing the small Dutch cruisers of the TROMP class. And in an era today of excessive reliance upon numbers and lists, it's delightful--in a nostalgic way--to come across a historian who actually writes well.
