Rates this book: 5 star

This is the most exciting tale of the struggle to save the North African invasion. Ellsberg is a superior writer and catches you from the first page. If you can, read "Under the Red Sea Sun" by him also. For a contrasting viewpoint try "Ordeal by Water" by Peter Keeble. Keeble presents the same situations (in Massawa) with an entirely different focus and cast of characters. His descriptions, contrasted to Ellsberg are hilarious.
