Just a warning that the book in NOT about the comprehensive 'decline and fall of the Japanese empire', it is primarily about the American conflict with Japan. The entire British campaign in Burma is dealt with in about 3 pages. The Chinese campaign is also mentioned only is passing in about 10 pages.
