Rates this book: 5 star

I read this book as a young adult over 30 years ago. I've been watching the History and Discovery channel recently and there have been several hour long reports on the impact the t-34 had in the 'Great Patriotic War'. Even given the time it's been since I read the book last, and the somewhat esoteric nature of tv reporting, I still found the book prepared me well for viewing and evaluating the television versions. I found the facts I had learned to be spot on, as well the battles described to be historically accurate.
