This book, now long out of print published in 1968, opened up the then still fairly secret world of the British Resistance Movement.It details the whole organization, the key players and the training these individual units received, they were to play a vital role in the Last Ditch defence of the UK Mainland. The book also has details of a Gestapo hit list of potential enemies of the Reich, who were to be exterminated once the Germans had a firm grip on Britain. Chilling reading way back in 1968, still quite shocking today.The men portrayed
in this book were trained to a very high standard and prepared for the ultimate sacrifice.A very good book,that gives you a fleeting glimpse of a rather unknown and secretive part of Britains Homeland
Defences.

I was twelve years old when the book was released. I picked a copy up from the library and could not put it down, I kept renewing it every fortnight,it was a revelation to myself and my friends and we used it to build hideouts.
At the time we were in the middle of the cold war, so to us the threat was real.
Sadly the book was withdrawn from the library to this day i wandered if the intelligence services had put a stop to it.
Maybe the Auxillary Units could have been re-activated at any timeand the training and the methods would still be relevant!
It is a good book and I would love to own a copy.
