Purchased the book at the Miami Book fair about a month ago and am about half through reading.
Read a lot of WWII books in the past, none with such ease of understanding and vivid detail.
recommended very highly to all WWII historians and those like me, that are just plain interested to know what WWII was like from the eye accounts of those that fought it Etc..

Oustanding chronicle of the individuals and small unit action that collectively made the 4th Armored Division famous. Great first hand accounts from vets and unit journals as well as some excellent original photos. This book will make you feel like you are riding along side this legendary unit and the imagery of the author's writing will repaint each battle vividly. This is really an enjoyable book to read.

The best Book every written about the 4th. armored or any other for
that matter.Mr.Fox does an incredible job in telling the 4th Armored
story, and for anyone looking for information on why Maj. General John S. Wood or "P" Wood was relieved by Patton, this book is a must read!

I recommend this book highly, especially for those who served in the 4th. Armored and Pattons third Army. I have read many books on WWII,
and the Third Army, but this book is by far the easiest to read and understand. A great job by Mr. Fox!
