As a veteran of WW II in the European Theater, Charles R. Castellaw brings horror,
humanity and humor to the movements of his unit and personal encounters along
the way. He was a front line foot soldier in the 3rd Infantry Division. A small thread
winds throughout Castellaw's memoir. Castellaw has never revealed many of
those events. It has taken sixty years for him to tell his story.
